Rating Leprechaun 2

This isn't actually a sequel to the first "Leprechaun", it's more of a "Nightmare on Elm Street" wannabe, since the main character seems to possess magical abilities that greatly transcend those he had in the original. It's a meaner and gorier picture, but at the same time an even more boneheaded one; there are some insultingly idiotic moments (especially the two "red herrings", which may (blog post) make you quit watching it right then and there) (particularly the two "red herrings", which may make you stop watching it right then and there). Even those who like lousy movies could struggle with this one.
